Versace x H&M

Posted in High Street Fashion, Uncategorized by Nneoma Ulu on June 21, 2011

Versace has been announced as the latest designer to collaborate with H&M join the likes of Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney and most recently Lanvin. I wasn’t sure at first, but after seeing these first pictures, I’m pretty excited.

The collection, available from November 17th, will include clothing for women and men and will also feature the first H&M designer home collection! Form an orderly queue folks.

Stella McCartney Resort 2012

This collection is beautiful. Loving the Hawaiian inspired prints – we’ll be ditching the florals next summer in favour of that for sure. As per usual, Stella McCartney delivers a feminine twist on androgyny with clean lines and a summery twist. Yet another wardrobe filler. I’ll take it all please.

Mulberry Resort 2012

Posted in Resort 2012 by Nneoma Ulu on June 18, 2011

I had a brunch with a friend from Singapore who’d been to Brighton beach for the first time this week. He said “it had pebbles, I’d never seen that before” – his subtle way of saying “get me out of this place and back to the idyllic white sand and clear blue sea beaches of South-East Asia that I’m used to”.  Pebbly beaches, bad weather and a sizeable portion of fish and chips pretty much sum up the British seaside. That is not the case for Mulberry, however, as their Resort 2012 collection takes inspiration from the quintessential 1970s British seaside. The result – cute prints, wearable separates and the perfect denim wash for summer. I want it all.

Helena Bonham Carter x Marc Jacobs Fall 2011

Posted in Ad campaign by Nneoma Ulu on June 18, 2011

The first of Marc Jacobs‘ Fall 2011 ad campaign featuring British actress Helena Bonham Carter popped up last week and this one of her looking a few biscuits short of a tea party is the latest to appear. Insane asylums were cited as one of his reference points for the collection. Go figure.
