Tease me, tease me, tease me H&M

Posted in High Street Fashion, News by Nneoma Ulu on August 31, 2010

It’s H&M collaboration time and they’ve decided to get creative with their publicity. We all know that these collaborations are some of the most hotly anticipated during the year with H&M’s ability to bring in seriously high rollers (Karl Lagerfeld, Stella McCartney, Jimmy Choo). They have released teaser videos of a man and a woman voicing their views on women and fashion.

There is speculation that they guy is Bottega Veneta designer, Tomas Maier and that the lady is either Carolina Herrera or Pam Hogg.

Makes a change to the usual announcement. It’s an awesome tease… I definitely want more. Can you guess who?

Copenhagen Fashion Week: Peter Jensen

Posted in Copenhagen Fashion Week by Nneoma Ulu on August 15, 2010

I should be in Copenhagen this weekend for fashion week. But I’m not. It’s the usual work commitments and money excuse which sucks but I’ve kept me beady eye on what’s happening over there. First up, London-based, Danish born Peter Jensen has returned to his roots by showing in Copenhagen. If Autumn/Winter is all about the trousers, then Spring/Summer according to Jensen, is all about the shorts. And I like it.

Things that make me go hmmmm….

Posted in Inspiration by Nneoma Ulu on August 15, 2010

The blog haitus is over. I heard this blast from the past choon today and thought what better way to end my recent silence with some things that are making me go hmmmmm at the moment.

And God created Woman…

Rosie Huntington-Whiteley covers the September issue of Love Magazine. Regular readers of twentyteneightyfour will be aware of my serious girl crush on Rosie. This cover is testament to why I love her. The September issue of Love Magazine will be out on August 23rd – this is the first of eight covers so look out for the others.

Let the takeover of the virtual high street begin…

Asos is hitting Autumn Winter 2010 with a bang. Their new collection is making me wish winter would come early.

A touch of glamour…

This ad campaign from Louis Vuitton is one of my favourites of Autumn/Winter 2010-11. Shot by Steven Miesel, Christy Turlington, Karen Elson and Natalia Vodianova, show us how 1950s glamour should be done.
