A Single Man

Posted in Inspiration by Nneoma Ulu on February 16, 2010

If you haven’t gone to see A Single Man yet, please get yourself down to a cinema and rectify that as soon as possible. Last weekend, I was convinced by fellow blogger and partner in crime, mediacation, that Tom Ford would want us to see his directorial debut in an art house cinema so off we trotted to the Curzon Mayfair to check it out.

Everything you’ve read about it being a thing cinematic beauty is true. It’s so beautiful. The score is absolutely breathtaking. The story is moving and Colin puts more than his best handmade-shoe-clad foot forward.

I do hope that Arianne Phillips wins a Bafta for best costume design. She deserves it.

Amazing. I love that we refer to each other as “fellow blogger”. Oh and by the way, I found out who the score is by, Abel Korzeniowski & Shigeru Umebayashi. A-fucking-mazing.
